DOG OF THE MONTH
My name is Heinze and I live with my mom, dad and
little sister, Chelsea, who is also a GSP. I am 12 years-old; but, do not
let my gray hair fool you -- I am full of life and vigor and run and hunt
just like when I was six!
I lived at the GSP Rescue in Bonsall for several years before I moved to my
forever home in San Clemente. The folks at the Rescue treated me very well;
now, my mom and dad call me "Sir Heinze" and treat me like royalty!
I have a nice new bed from Just Fur Mutts, which works well when I am not
nestled in down pillows in my parents' Cal King bed! I take a bath once a
week and dine on duck and venison -- those are my favorite Wellness flavors.
Every night, I go for a run with my family and mom lets me run off leash so
I can chase the rabbits and birds on the trails. While I love hunting, I
never get far from mom and always keep an eye on my little sister who
sometimes runs too far ahead of us. On Saturdays, mom and I take care of
"errands" and I get to sit in the front seat of the car so I can take
everything in. On Sundays, I go to the beach where I play with my dad and
protect my little sister from other boy dogs! I take my role in this family
very seriously!
